I met Johnny Crawford 41 years ago at Fort Jackson, SC. He was making an Army training film and I went up to him and introduced myself. I was on my way to Vietnam at the time. We spent a few minutes talking and he wished me luck. I guess it helped because I made it home. I still watch the Rifleman on Encore in Philadelphia. It is funny how we remember these things after all these years.
